I had an unpleasant experience here. The dental hygienist did not thoroughly clean my teeth, skipping parts of my teeth when brushing and not scraping at any plaque. Dr. T did not listen to any concerns that I brought up and brushed them off with his attempts at humor. Usually when I am seen at the end of my appointment by a dentist they do a thorough exam, picking at potential cavities and checking gums.

He did not do this. He looked at my mouth for 5 seconds and said “you’re good”. My last dentist told me I had to get a cavity refilled the next time I came in but then I moved. That was over a year ago so I knew it was time to get it refilled. When I brought this up he said “I don’t see any cavities in your X-ray”, which is bad practice as you can absolutely have cavities that don’t show up on the X-ray.

I would avoid this place. Update: I went to a different dental office. They said that tooth needed refilled. Upon drilling they found my tooth was cracked under the filling and would have led to worse issues had they not found it.

As a family with 3 kids who race dirt bikes up and down the east coast, wrestle and do gymnastics; a husband whom we travel with for out of town work weeks; and we homeschool, it would be nice to have a "courtesy call" within the required 48hrs to reschedule. They want to call it at courtesy call, but don't have the courtesy to give you that call within the 48hrs so you can reschedule in a timely manner. I have always rescheduled within the required time frame of all my kids pedatric appointments and several others because they give you that call prior to the hours they charge you for canceling.

So if you're a busy mom or family they have no "courtesy" for you.

I've been going to Dr. Tomczyk for a couple years now and can say he's been fantastic every single visit. I'm not an easy case; I've had some shoddy dental work done in a previous state that Dr. Tomczyk has now had to deal with. He's highly knowledgeable, funny, and has gone the extra mile making phone calls on my behalf to other referrals. Recommended!

I have been going to Dillsburg Dental for over 10 years now, and they are by far the best around! Dr Mike is always funny and checks frequently to make sure I'm ok because he knows how much I hate dental work. The hygentists are always friendly and Ronda at the front desk is a rock star, always calling a day or to ahead of time to remind you of your appointment and greeting you with a smile when you walk through the door.
