I live in Mankato. NO dentist in town accepts patients with my dental coverage except the open door clinic which has a waiting list of 300 people. I called Smile Center and they got me in within a week and accepts my Civic Smiles insurance (yes I have a job, my employer doesn't provide coverage. ) The hygienist was very bubbly and friendly and the dentist I had was very gentle and polite.
There is much diversity among the staff and patients. Nothing bad to say about the place.

I can't believe all the negative comments. And so many comments about low income people going there. What does that have to do with anything? I started going here a year ago & I love Dr. Shetty & his hygienist Lisa. So friendly. I've had two cleanings & just had 6 porcelain veneers put on my top front 6 teeth. I'm going in tomorrow for 2 permanent porcelain crowns.
I love my veneers. Dr. Shetty & his assistant took their time with me. He put my veneers on so I could see what they look like to make sure I liked them before permanently bonding them on. Dr. Shetty explained the best way to floss with veneers & crowns & recommended I use a night guard to protect my investment as I clench my teeth. If you are not communicating exactly what you want or envision, then how do you expect a good result?

I have been a client for over 10yrs. I continued to be serviced after New ownership. I need and Emergency appt. The young scheduler was rude and inconsiderate. She first tried to schedule me at 2pm two days away, with an indefinite wait time. I said well that's unacceptable I have small kids and they need to be picked up from school. She then rudely told me that if it's an emergency I have to take what she has.
I said I need something in the morning if the wait time is unknown. She then tried to schedule me for almost three weeks later. On a emergency visit. I have used this service loved the work all the dentist, but I won't return due to miss potty mouth. What a joke, this business doesn't honor their loyal customers. 😯😑😣

I've been here 3 different times in as many years, and always have been very satisfied. I went in today for what I thought was a broken tooth (that was previously repaired here in 2019) only to find out it was just needing a filing on the edge and was still perfectly fine. I called them at 5 PM and was in their chair at 6PM Svetlana took an X-Ray got Dr. Shetty and he remembered me for 2 years ago, he explained what was going on and took care of me at not cost.
So as far as I'm concerned this is my go-to for Dental work. Thanks Dr. Shetty and Svetlana you are GREAT!
