Dental Associates of Hershey

Dental Associates of Hershey is a standout for family dental care—no wonder they’re a local favorite. My husband, our two kids, and I have been coming here for 6 years, and every visit feels like a breeze. Dr. Patel is amazing with kids; my 8-year-old now asks when we’re going back because she lets him "help" with the tools. For adults, she’s thorough and takes time to explain everything—when I needed a filling, she walked me through the process so I felt at ease.

The hygienists are gentle, the office has a cozy waiting area with Hershey-themed decor (a nice touch!), and they offer flexible hours. They handle insurance seamlessly and even sent a get-well card when my son was sick. It’s dental care with a personal touch—we’re loyal for life.

Canceled my son's appt via text message less than 2hrs before his appt. Can't reschedule him until March! When your office cancels under these circumstances you don't fit your patients into the current schedule? Unacceptable practices. You should be accommodating the patients not schedule them 7mths out.

Especially since it was your office that confirmed on Thurs then TEXTED Fri morning & Canceled.

The dentist and hygienists are nice and friendly, and made a good job for me with crown and cleaning. But receptionists are impossible to interact with. Once I was trying to figure out with the old lady, who has her office behind the reception desk, some details of payments when my insurance maxed out, she made everything to confuse me and to make me feel uncomfortable instead of explaining details.

Another time I was checking out with CJ, she was almost whispering and I couldn’t hear her with all the noise around. She also didn’t have time to give me any visit summary print-out and the treatment plan and promised to send it to me. The email which I received didn’t contain any details.

After my call to the office a week after the visit she was able to send me treatment plan (also one day after my call), but instead of estimated costs for each position like they give it to you in other customer-focused offices I received a list of prices for 100+ positions in which I am supposed to find what I need to be done. It is an unacceptable service which spoils all good impression that actual dentist and hygienists could leave.

THEY canceled my appointment in January. They did, not me. The "next available" is October. So it'll be over a year by the time I get in. When I brought it to their attention about it was them who canceled, not me, they got an attitude. This is the 2nd time they've canceled my appointment and then are unable to accommodate within a timely fashion.

The last time I was in, Dr. T Paul was flirting with the hygienist making it an uncomfortable atmosphere. It's great if you're able to work with your significant other, but leave the googly eyes outside the exam room. This place used to be great, but now completely lacks professionalism.
