CP Rochester Family Dental Center is our family’s favorite dental spot! For four years, Dr. Martinez and her team have cared for everyone from my 5-year-old to my 70-year-old mom. The clinic is warm and inviting, with a kid-friendly corner that keeps little ones happy during wait times. Dr.
Martinez is gentle and thorough, explaining treatments in simple terms—my son even asks to “visit the tooth doctor” now! Hygienists are patient with wiggly kids and kind to seniors, making cleanings stress-free. They offer flexible scheduling, including evenings, and handle insurance smoothly with no surprise bills. The staff remembers our names and dental history, making every visit feel personal. A true family-focused practice!

It took 9 months to get a new patient appointment. I drove my handicapped daughter and arrived a half hour early and had to sit outside because the office was locked for lunch break. When it was opened we checked in. The person behind the desk after we sat waiting finally called us up to inform us that she did have an appointment for 1:00 pm but the dentist would be out of the office for 2 months and that the secretary was not there so we would have to call the next day to schedule a new appointment. Also there was no appointment for a dental cleaning and no one able to do a teeth cleaning.
My daughter’s care manager was also not notified that the dentist would not be there for the appointment. Handicapped people on Medicaid are not treated as well as others with private insurance. When I was working and had private dental insurance, my daughter saw a dentist for 11 years who doesn’t take Medicaid. This dentist charged us FULL PRICE when I lost private insurance and refused to lower his price to match what private insurance pays. The poor have to pay more for medical services and get treated poorly.
It wasn’t easy driving there due to the Lilac festival traffic and closed roads. We were never given directions and the clinic is in the back out of sight and hard to find.
