Coghlan Orthodontics made my son’s braces journey something he actually looked forward to. Dr. Coghlan has a gift for connecting with kids—he explained the process in a way that 12-year-old Jake understood, and let him pick cool bracket colors each visit. The office is bright and fun, with a prize wall that kept him motivated to keep his braces clean. Adjustments were quick, and they always worked around his baseball schedule.
What amazed me? The team remembered his favorite snacks and even sent a “congrats” card when his braces came off. His smile is incredible, and he still talks about how much he liked going there. Orthodontics can be tough, but this team makes it joyful.

Terrible experience here. I was given a 2 p. m. appointment and received a text the day before, asking me to show up 15 minutes early in order to complete paperwork. I showed up at 1:45, as requested, and the reception desk was completely dark and there was a sign that they were out to lunch and would not return until 2 p. m. There was a computer with names of those who had appointments at that time. Ours was not on it. I waited 5 minutes and no one came. I didn’t want to wait another 10 minutes if they goofed my appointment time.
So I knocked on a door and a woman told me everyone was at lunch and they'd be back soon. I explained I was told to be there at 1:45 and that I took off work get there on time. She just repeated herself and tried to close the door. (These people take their lunch very seriously!) When I said I didn't see my name on the list, she realized I was a new patient, apparently, and reluctantly got me the paperwork and said they'd be back in 5 minutes. Fifteen minutes later they turned the lights back on and appeared. I explained to the receptionist about the situation. She said, very rudely, that they have lunch from 1-2 every day. (Like I said, very serious about their lunch. ) I explained this is not common knowledge and referred to the text asking me to be there at 145. She said, "that's a standard text" ???? Still no apology.
Once I went back to see the orthodontist it was very rushed. He gave me a very brief overview and was on his way out the door as I was talking to him. I actually had to ask if I could ask questions. He stood at the door the entire time, causing me to have to stand to speak b/c the chairs were against the wall with the door. I then had to rush to get my questions in b/c he was trying to leave the entire conversation. It was not even a 15 minute appointment. (Other new patient orthodontic appointments I've had were an hour and they never rushed us. ) The service all around was rude and inconsiderate. I can't imagine taking my business here, not that they would care, they will be too busy eating lunch.

I feel that while Dr. Kevin was personable in our initial consultation subsequent appointments for my son have felt rushed and communication with me has been limited. I honestly have no idea at this point where my son is in his orthodontic care plan. All I know is that because of Covid he goes in alone and the woman who collect payments has been rather rude to him (in his own words). I was told by Dr.
Kevin that as long as payments are made before treatment is complete there is no problem. I hate that my son had to endure rude comments about me not making a payment on time and him feeling as if it’s his fault. As a single parent and emergency room nurse amidst a pandemic I thought that an office used to dealing with adolescents would be more supportive through all of this. Every time I try to call they are closed and I can’t seem to get a straight answer from anyone even when I do call. There never seems to be an available appointment or any flexibility for unique and unforeseeable circumstances.
I actually chose Dr. Kevin because of his personal consultation with us. There are many cheaper options in town they seem to be more interested in quality and not quantity when it comes to the amount of patients they see.

We love Dr. Coghlan! I went there as a kid and now my daughter goes there. He is kind and very knowledgeable. We appreciate the timely service and professional care that is given. The staff is always kind and so sweet to my other children that have to come with us. My daughter enjoys going to the orthodontist and has enjoyed her time there so far.
