X-rays, Delays, and Disarray—Bring Your Own Pliers! This is an insurance farm, not a clinic. I came to this clinic last December hoping for a simple replacement of a filling in a front tooth—something urgent before it worsened. Instead, I was met with months of runaround, excessive x-rays, misplaced paperwork, and a disturbing lack of coordination. Despite my medical clearance being sent in early February 2025 (I have documentation proving this), they now claim (in June 2025) that I never sent it in, even after beginning treatment and performing fillings because the necessary medical clearance is now mysteriously missing. When I got the clearance they insisted on before they would even replace a filling it was a hassle, but I complied with every request: got a CT scan, obtained multiple medical clearances and saw that they were submitted, and waited patiently for weeks. But they repeatedly blamed me or my doctor for “incomplete paperwork”—even though the clearance had been sent several times. This exact issue also happened recently to my elderly friend, whose paperwork they lost four separate times. I know this for an absolute first-hand fact. Today, in June, after showing up for what I thought would be a simple extraction of one infected tooth—one causing jaw and sinus pain—and sitting in the chair for over an hour they suddenly wanted to extract six teeth and then claimed I never sent in the medical clearance and because they needed to use a "mountain of epinephrine (Really: epinephrine?)" And yes: I recorded the whole thing. They now claim they never got the medical clearance. Well they must have had it during the other procedures, including the one where they mutilated my cuspid.
When I asked to proceed with just the one tooth so they wouldn't need to use a "mountain of epinephrine" they refused. I was in the chair for over an hour with no resolution. I left in pain, frustrated, untreated and blamed by them for their own incompetence and carelessness. This clinic feels more like a training ground where patients become experiments. Procedures are recommended en masse, seemingly to give students more practice. It's dehumanizing. Even fillings were done without properly functioning equipment, and one of my teeth was visibly damaged during an “exploration,” according to their supervising physician. And man: they pour on the X-Rays. I have had 2 3D CTs and enough X-Rays to make Roentgen nervous. Why? Teeth don't change that much. Hell, I had four in the same spot today (Yep: That's on me.
I was trying to play along so I could get the pain to stop. ) And nope: the X-Rays were not of the tooth that was infected. I wonder what they make off of billing those? Either it is a money-maker or they just want all of the students to each have a turn playing with the X-Ray machine. Screw the patient I guess: "Its less radiation than flying in a plane" I was told: then Zap! Zap! Zap! Zap! Do they know that the effects of radiation is cumulative? I wonder how many miles I flew ? Be wary. They smile politely but operate with chaos behind the scenes. I wouldn’t wish this experience on anyone. You only have one set of teeth, and probably only one life, and chaos and carelessness are never isolated to one area of an organization. Don't volunteer to be a living cadaver for these people. I am not an unkind person by any means, but people need to know the facts, and sometimes organizations need to face their own truths.

Completely Unprofessional and Borderline Inhumane Hands down the worst dental experience I’ve ever had. From the moment I sat in the chair, the dentist’s attitude was dismissive, rude, and completely unprofessional. Instead of offering any real insight or compassion, they looked in my mouth and said, “you’ve got a lot of problems with your mouth. ” Excuse me? That’s how you talk to a patient? Not only was it offensive, it was said with zero tact or care. Then, without any form of numbing , they decided to dive straight into a cleaning.
When I told them it was painful — which it absolutely was — I was told I was being over dramatic. Apparently, being in visible pain is “dramatic” now. Despite repeatedly telling them that the air suction was painful — especially on a tooth with an exposed nerve — they just kept blasting cold air like I wasn’t even speaking. What kind of professional knowingly exposes a damaged tooth to cold air and continues after being told it’s causing pain? It’s beyond incompetence — it’s cruelty. To top it all off, after they caused a traumatizing and painful experience, they had the audacity to refer me to another office with a note saying, “patient very anxious, prefers to be under anesthesia.
” Yeah, no kidding I was anxious — anyone would be if they were treated with that level of disregard and inhumanity. This place doesn’t deserve your time, your money, or your trust. Do yourself a favor and go literally anywhere else. Your mouth — and your mental health — will thank you.

My son had a root canal there. Everyone was super friendly, but it took 9 appointments before his crown (which I moved to a new dentist) and a piece of material was left in his canal the root was cleaned out (medical grade) but none the less he has had some issues with pain and a small infection a couple months later. The trauma isn't just in his mouth, but he's not been the same since personality wise. This is something he will live with until we are able to financially afford surgery.
I do not believe schools and students should be working on patients if they are not prepared. Personality is great and the people all seem very nice, but competency matters when someone is doing minor surgery in a youths mouth.

Dr. Nora at Cleveland Dental Institute is an incredibly patient and thorough dentist. She took the time to explain everything about my teeth and answered all of my questions with great care.
During my visit, she also recommended services I wasn’t aware of, like teeth whitening and custom trays, which are offered at the facility. I’ve been a patient for a while, and I had no idea these services were available! The front desk staff is also friendly, knowledgeable, and very welcoming.
