As part of Children's Dental Health, which is proudly the largest pediatric dental provider in Pennsylvania with over 20 convenient locations, this clinic specializes in providing comprehensive oral healthcare for children aged 0-17, including those with special healthcare needs. The clinic's approach is centered on creating a positive and engaging dental experience for young patients. Their facilities are designed to be kid-friendly, often featuring entertainment like Netflix, games, arcade machines, and even a life-sized airplane in the waiting room, to help alleviate dental anxiety. The staff, including board-certified pediatric dentists, hygienists, and assistants, are specifically trained to work with children, employing a "show, tell, do" method to educate and involve them in their oral health journey. Services offered at Children's Dental Health of Springfield are extensive and cater to all stages of a child's dental development. These include routine preventive care such as cleanings, examinations, and fluoride applications, as well as the application of Dental sealants to protect against cavities. For restorative needs, they provide fillings, crowns for damaged teeth, and even baby root canals for infections. Furthermore, the Springfield location offers orthodontic services for children, allowing for comprehensive care under one roof. The clinic emphasizes early intervention and education, guiding parents on proper hygiene, nutrition, and addressing habits like thumb-sucking. They also conduct early orthodontic evaluations to monitor jaw and teeth development. The clinic prioritizes patient comfort, offering sedation options like nitrous oxide (laughing gas) for nervous children. They also encourage parental involvement in the treatment room to help put both children and parents at ease. Testimonials frequently highlight the friendly and caring staff, the comfortable environment, and the positive experiences children have during their visits, often overcoming initial dental fears.

For me to be there for the first time, it was ok. . I feel like that dentist came in and rushed back out. . she wasn’t even in the room for 15mins. Also they waiting room didn’t have much for kids to do. .

For this office to be a kids and special needs dentist. I would have thought it would be things for the kids to play with. Not this tablets. . but I would come back cause the people was nice and friendly.

We haven’t been there in two years, which is my fault because we’ve had many behavioral And mental health Issues during that time, there’s only so many appointments I can make today. Needless to say we went, and my daughter had nine cavities. They referred us to an oral surgeon because she possibly needs a root canal has two wisdom teeth coming in and have to get all the fillings filled at the regular dentist where she’s never been in her life so talk about a scary experience that she’s gonna have the least they could’ve did was fill the cavities then I could take care of the other things now as of time on my side and it’s not I have to look for a new Dentist amongst all the other doctors I need ;-( other than that age is birth through 14 she’s been great. They’ve been great.

They didn’t even let us know. You know when she turns age she’ll Have to go to a regular dentist, no warning or anything.

We had a great first impression with the staff here! Great experience! Worked well with my special needs sons! And they allowed me to go in the back with them! Their previous dentist didn’t allow any parents back and they were mistreating my boys. I’m so glad we found this new dentist!! 10/10 recommend

What a terrible experience. Luckily I left with my 1. 5 year old before she could be seen. I received ONE text the day before my appointment requesting information on my insurance. Which I did not have time to send in between working and taking care of my family on that same day.

I sent it first thing the next morning (the morning before my appointment was scheduled in the afternoon). No further communication. After taking off work, and getting my LO out of daycare, I arrived to find out that my appointment was cancelled, without ANY communication to me. The reception staff wasn't even polite enough to explain this to me directly, I had to hear them talk ABOUT me on why my toddler's appointment was cancelled. Some suggestions - maybe you should inform of your documentation procedure in advance and give parents and families (especially full-time working parents) a reasonable time to respond to your requests.

And ask/train you customer facing staff at the front desk to be more polite, or at least just smile. I can't believe these people work with children.
