While visiting a dentist is rarely anyone’s favorite thing to do, Chestnut hills Shadyside does everything it can to make the experience pleasant. The waiting area is clean and has comfortable chairs, and the reception staff is pleasant. The patient rooms are very clean, the hygienists are competent and efficient as well as pleasant, and Dr.
L is wonderful about addressing any questions or problems.

First time here. I didn’t realize there was paperwork to be completed prior to my appt, so no big deal, I arrived early so I had time to get that done. I did not wait very long to be brought back. The tech was very personable, walked/talked me through all the x-rays and scans, and then I was seated in the exam room to be seen. Also did not wait very long there either. As a new patient, I just had an evaluation.
We discussed my current dental health, any concerns I had, and agreed on plans moving forward with the needed done. Future appointments were made on the spot with good availability. The cleaning was scheduled for the same week, and other appointment for work to be completed is scheduled in a few short weeks. I didn’t come in as an emergent case that needed to be handled ASAP. So far, even with the one appt of just an evaluation, I had a good experience. Hope it continues!
