My kids have been going here for over 3 years now and we absolutely love it! My kids beg to go to the dentist! The front office staff are always kind. The entire building is always clean! We loved Dr. Turner and were sad when he retired, but he was replaced by Dr. Beck who is honestly just as wonderful. Dr.
Peart is new and has been great so far. Our favorites are the dental hygienists. Ms. Austin is especially wonderful with my kids! So grateful for such a wonderful office where my kids feel comfortable and I feel confident we are getting the best dental care. Thanks Cedarcrest Children's Dentistry!!

I want to start this review by saying that I have been a patient or parent client of this practice since I was 14 and now, I take my children to this practice. I’m almost 37 years old at the time of this review. Clearly, I have faith and appreciation for Cedarcrest Children’s Dentistry. I share that to clarify that I have a grasp on the goals that Dr. Jason Turner had for his practice. Dr. Turner wished to create an environment where children could trust their dentist. He poured decades into these goals and upon retirement he handed day-to-day operations over to Dr. Beck. Dr. Beck has upheld that goal and that dream. Up until today I have never had anything but positive comments about this office and its staff. Unfortunately, Dr. Peart does not share the same goals as Dr. Turner and Dr. Beck. Our orthodontist recommended the extraction of 4 teeth for my child, so we made the appointment, and I thought of little process because I have such faith in that office. I did ask some questions and was assured that everything that could be done to make it a smooth process would be done.
The moment Dr. Peart walked through the door it felt as if she was in a rush. She checked the x-rays and asked the tech which teeth were being pulled. I believe in double checking, but this had the feel of a first check, meaning no review of the file prior to entering the room. That didn’t instill tons of confidence, but I was patient. She failed to introduce herself to me or my child. She administered the numbing injection, and he whined a little, but that part was acceptable. When she returned to complete the extraction, my son responded and said that it hurt, and she had to work and pull quite hard to remove the first tooth. So hard in fact that it went flying across the room when it came free. Granted his baby teeth did have some significant roots; she dismissed these concerns and said it was just pressure. Maybe that was the case. In fact, it was likely the case, but that doesn’t change the fact he was feeling scared about the procedure. I told her that he rarely complains and is usually a trooper. She didn’t care. I told her it seemed like a bit much and she asked if I wanted to stop. Since two had been pulled and come back again for the other two. I expressed that I was concerned that it wasn’t made clear how challenging this was going to be. I believe she didn’t know it was going to be a challenge because she failed to review his x-rays prior to the procedure.
It is also worth noting that we were the final appointment of the day, and they were running late, so she was in a rush to leave. Through our interaction she effectively told me that her job was to pull the teeth. She stated that the orthodontist and I decided that the teeth should be removed so it was just her job to pull them. I strongly disagree! We are supposed to be a team of people that work together for the benefit of the child. She also informed me that she does this all the time, and I would argue that perhaps to the point that she is numb to the fears that children experience when having dental procedures. She did not like being questioned and I would have preferred not to have questions and likely would not if she had taken 2-3 minutes to walk me through the procedure. To demonstrate that he was numb she inserted the needle back in his gums and pushed it as deep as it would go and then pushed beyond. I believe this was done out of anger because I questioned her during the procedure. I haven’t experienced this level of disregard for a pediatric patient as a parent of two children at any point or with any pediatric professional. Dr. Peart might be acceptable for adults, but she has no business working with children. She is likely creating fear and disdain toward dentists for hundreds of children. She has succeeded in damaging my child’s overwhelming positive view of visiting the dentist. Request Dr. Beck for procedures to avoid having your child and you mistreated.

Today was my 7 year old daughter first visit and she stated “I love my new doctor. She’s nice and gentle.” The place is very clean and the staff is thorough in care and explanations. I really appreciate it and can’t wait to bring my older three children.
