Update: Just went in for my daughter’s appointment (the one they tried to cancel) & Dr. Evan’s flat out refused to put a temporary crown on my daughters tooth. She didn’t even look in my daughter’s mouth. She literally walked in the room and turned us away. There is a specific step by step Endodontic procedure listed right on the American Association Of Endodontists website. The last & final step clearly states that after having a root canal done you go back to see your general dentist for a temporary crown. We tried. Dr. Evan’s did not do her job. So, I have reported her and the entire office to the state. And if she loses the truth I will take things further. I will hire a lawyer and I will sue. Dr Evan’s excuse is she never prepared the tooth for a temporary crown. We already knew this. She decided right from the start that she couldn’t do the work that needed to be done on my daughter’s tooth hence why she gave my daughter the referral to the endodontist in Weymouth whom just finished the work the other day. And now Dr Evan’s is refusing to finish the work. Huge red flag. DO NOT GO TO Carver Smiles!!!! They will NOT finish what they started!!!! Anyone seeking out a dentist for their family, do not go to Carver Smiles.
A few months ago, Dr. Evan’s referred my daughter to an endodontist in Weymouth because she decided that she couldn’t do the root canals that my daughter needed done. The first root canal was done in June. The endodontist didn’t do both root canals on the same day as he even had concerns about my daughter not being able to comfortably eat afterwards. Also a concern of mine which Carver Smiles has completely invalidated and dismissed. Dr. Evan’s put a temporary crown on it just a few weeks later back in September. And my daughter is still awaiting the permanent crown till this day. The endodontist in Weymouth finished the last root canal on my daughter last week on Thursday & now Dr. Evan’s is flat out refusing to put a temporary crown on it the same way she did with the first one. Her excuse being “I haven’t prepared the tooth yet”. I literally just watched her do it on the other side a few weeks ago. There’s no prep other than her sticking a wand in my daughter’s mouth to scan the tooth for the permanent crown. Then putting a temporary crown on it to end the appointment that way the tooth is temporarily protected & restored until the permanent crown comes in. So my daughter is struggling to eat & is restricted to what she can eat because she has a temporary crown on one side and a temporary filling on the other. Something that we were trying to avoid to begin with but Dr. Evan’s insisted it would all be ok and taken care of. BEWARE!!!! Dr.
Evan’s made referrals to have my daughter get dental work done but she will not finish the job. Instead, she expects my daughter to remain on a soft food diet for weeks, even months on end, regardless if that means my daughter is experiencing discomfort, difficulty eating, etc. Carver Smiles can’t even follow their own cancellation policies. They called me the day of the appointment (today) to cancel for the second time in a row. I have reported this dental office and its doctors to the Board of Registration in Dentistry. No parent should be having to fight any type of health care provider to get their child(ren) the proper treatment they deserve. The real final straw should have been when I went in to establish care for myself. Their male dentist / anesthesiologist came in and I specifically told him I have Ehlers Danlos Syndrome therefore I am resistant to local anesthetic. He proceeded to pinch my arm (without any consent to touch anything other than the teeth in my mouth) & said “you don’t have EDS”. Last I checked, he is not a PCP or a geneticist …. MOST people, most doctors have no clue what EDS actually is. It took me 8 years to get this diagnosis. Just because I don’t have stretchy skin near my wrist doesn’t mean I don’t have EDS. So try medical school again?? Pathetic. Always advocate for yourself and your loved ones. These people don’t care.

Can’t say enough great things about Carver Smiles! The entire staff is kind and professional from the moment you walk in the door. The dentists, assistants and hygienists are very focused on making sure you’re comfortable and that the procedures are as quick and painless as possible.
Dr. Bleak is the best, if a wisdom tooth extraction could be a pleasure, he would be the guy to make it one! Also love Dental Assistant Laurinda!

Their pediatric office is fantastic, they have a hygienist that is soooo wonderful with my little girl. My almost 3 year old loves going and I don’t have to stress.

Loved Carver Smiles when I first went … all the hygienists are lovely. Had two crowns done there; costly, but ok, and both split in two years time. No guarantee there with Dr. Bleak who wanted to replace both at $$$$. Most dentists guarantee 8 years. Very done.
