Bloom Family Dentistry in Greenwood, IN on Smith Valley is the most unprofessional facility I have ever experienced. I recently moved to the area and was trying to establish care with a new dentist to get my routine 6 month cleaning. Prior to my appointment, front office staff never got old records or images. They did X-rays without checking to see if I was due for them with my insurance. I sat and waited to get cleaned but found out later that on Thursdays they don’t have a dental hygienist at the site and it was never planned for me to get a cleaning that day like was requested. The dentist then goes on to tell me that I need a more extensive cleaning that will require local anesthesia and for me to come back.

He had never even looked at my prior records or films. He recommended many very expensive treatments on me which did not sit right. I reach out to my old dentist and had the images taken at Bloom Dental sent to them. He reviewed the images and said the treatment being recommended was excessive and not warranted if I continue to get my six month regular cleanings. I called Bloom Dental to address that I would not be coming to the appointments for unnecessary treatments that were recommended to me. I also requested for them to not bill my insurance so I could go back to my old dentist to get the proper treatment, and that I was willing to pay out of pocket for the one visit and eval they did.

Front office staff Sierra then told me they can not do that and when I try to ask why she hung up on me. This was the most unprofessional experience with a health care provider clinic I have ever experienced. I am only posting this to inform others that Bloom Dentistry at the Greenwood, IN location is recommending unnecessary more expensive treatments to get as much money out of you as they can. I will not be going back and hope this post will help others prevent being treated this way as a patient. Always be your own health advocate if something a medical provider is recommending to you does not make sense and get a second opinion.

Just flew into town today, my tooth started hurting and was causing my face to swell. I called Bloom and got me in within the hour to take care of my issue. I left without any pain, the staff did a great job.

Abdulrauf Rule

So far my experience has been amazing and comforting after having bad experiences with other dentist I truly feel like I’m getting the proper treatment. Bloom dental is actually walking me through my treatment, making sure that I understand my treatment, and being patient, kind , and absolutely caring. There are no words how much of a relief I feel after going to bloom dental.

So far it’s the best dental practice I’ve experienced.

I can’t begin to express how lucky my family was to find this dentist! The hygienist are thorough and explain everything they are doing. The doctor is personable and knowledgeable. The receptionist is beyond welcoming and helpful. An overall great experience and calming environment. Me, my husband, and my daughter (18 month old) all received dental services in the same appointment.

Everyone in office made themselves acquainted with my daughter. They allowed her to sit where she felt most comfortable and warm up. When going into this appointment my whole family was nervous due to dental fear. Our nerves quickly dissipated with the huge level of comfort and welcome we felt! Thank you Bloom team! You all rock!
