After a new job and new insurance I switched back to my previous dentist that I really liked. And I couldn't figure out why it was so hard for Bay Hill to send all of our x-rays over to the new dentist. While patients there, they said one of my kids needed a very deep cleaning require multiple appointments, told my spouse he had five cavities, and they had replaced a silver filling on me that they said was bad.

But when we all had our appointments with our previous dentist again she confirmed that my spouse had no cavities, that my son didn't have gum issues or require a deep cleaning, and I'm wondering now if I even needed a silver filling replaced that was not all that old. If it had just been one of us I wouldn't think twice about it, but since all three of us went to another dentist got another opinion and all three of us were confirmed not to need the work that Bay Hill said we needed, I would think twice about stepping foot in Bay Hill dental. That's probably why it was so hard for them to send all of our x-rays over because it probably would have proven that we didn't need the work that they said we all did.

The front office staff was always really great though whenever I go in.

I will be the first to admit I am not a fan of getting dental work done, however I have never felt more comfortable going to the dentist until my visits with Bay Hill! The woman there are extremely kind, respectful, and explain fully what is needed and being done. We recently moved to the area and it had been a couple years since visiting a dentist and I needed cavities filled, I did not feel any pain throughout the process, it was quick and gentle work. My daughter is also a patient and enjoys her visits for cleanings.

The women make you feel absolutely comfortable and offer realistic suggestions that will make your oral health better without the feeling of judgement. I never had to wait in the office longer than a few minutes, I was in and out under an hour, and scheduling is very accommodating. I am glad to have found this dentist! I recommend them to anyone who is looking! Thanks again ladies!

I called to make an appointment to replace a filling that had just come out. I was told that my United Health Care Advantage insurance was not going to be accepted after June 1st, or possibly sooner (and this is one of the largest insurance companies). Then I was told that they couldn't get me in for two months, until May - so about the time that they would no longer be accepting my insurance.

They clearly did not want my business and were successfully discouraging me from making an appointment.

Don't be fooled by the positive reviews. The office staff is horrendous. They're rude, they lie, they try to stick miscellaneous codes that aren't covered by insurance to up the price (get an EOB from insurance PRIOR to agreeing to any "treatment plan"). That being said I really did enjoy the hygienists that worked with me. They were the exact opposite, kind, informative etc.

I think the owners want the office staff to bully when anyone questions their miscellaneous coup costs that they stick in as way around insurance to foot you with an extra cost and fill their pockets. The last straw for me was when I got a treatment plan for a deep cleaning and then had additional costs they claim were necessary but my insurance said they couldn't legally add them because they were using it for part of a procedure that wasn't FDA (or whatever administration it was) approved yet. Well once I got that info I called and told them I wanted the treatment but without the unapproved part of it. They told me the new cost (which was over $100 less) and I scheduled the appointment. During my appointment they did the entire procedure including what I told them I didn't want done.

When I went to leave they billed me for the extra (unapproved) work and when I argued it they said "well how are we supposed to remember that it's your fault for not calling it out while the procedure was being done". Excuse me?!! How about it's your fault for not keeping notes in my file when I scheduled it. I was VERY clear what I wanted and didn't want done! Signed, An angry customer who was cheated out of money. Only giving the 2nd star because the hygienists were great, else I'd give zero if I could.
