Aunt Martha's Chicago Heights Community health Center is a key location within Aunt Martha's Health and Wellness, a large non-profit organization and one of Illinois' largest Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs). Established over 17 years ago when Aunt Martha's acquired the site from St. James Hospital, this center is dedicated to providing comprehensive and integrated healthcare services to the Chicago Heights community and surrounding areas, including South Chicago Heights, Ford Heights, Sauk Village, Glenwood, Homewood, and Matteson. The clinic offers a wide range of services, including Primary care for all ages (pediatrics, adult care), Women's health and OB/GYN services (including Family planning, birth control, pregnancy testing, and STD/STI testing), and Behavioral health care (adult, child, and adolescent psychiatry and therapy, individual counseling, and comprehensive diagnostic evaluation and treatment). They are committed to a holistic patient-centered approach, addressing not only physical health but also emotional, mental, social, and spiritual well-being. As an FQHC, Aunt Martha's Chicago Heights Community Health Center serves a diverse patient population, including those with Illinois Medicaid, various MCOs, Aetna, Blue Cross Community, County Care, Meridian, Molina, YouthCare HealthChoice III (DCFS Kids), and Blue Cross IL PPO. Crucially, they offer services on a sliding scale based on income for uninsured and underinsured patients, ensuring access to care for those who may not qualify for health insurance or Medicaid.
