I've been with Apollo for over 10 years and I have insurance through Humana. All the Dentists and Hygienists are great. However the billing department they changed on how insurance claims are processed is horrendous. I had a normal cleaning on February of 2023 and I never received any bill from them it was completely covered which is should be.

However after this routine visit I received a bill from Apollo for 200+ which basically is the majority of the cost of the visit. I called Humana and Apollo and they said I was out of network. However I can clearly look up my dentist at Apollo on Humana's website that they are in network. Called Apollo back and they resubmitted the claim multiple times and I received yet again another bill.

I'll be paying the bill and moving on from them. It's a shame because I really like my dentist but I don't have the time to keep fighting with them on their new billing practices. I would not go there if you are planning on running any insurance claims through them.

Husband called in February to make an appointment. Couldn't get him in until July - but he made the appointment. They sent a reminder a week before - and on the day of the appointment called to cancel and said they couldn't get him in until December. Save your self some time - find a new dentist. Chipped my tooth and they couldn't get me in for a month.

Your website doesn't work to contact you - there is no place to enter the Captcha - just get error messages. Sat on hold for 20 minutes to cancel the appointments and ended up having to leave a message in the end. Obviously unorganized and understaffed. Been going there for about 15 years with great service but no more.

If I could give a 0, I would! I never thought I would ever give this establishment a 0. Yesterday I brought my 1 1/2 yr old son in for his first dental appointment. I walked to the desk where 2 woman were there to check in with. As I stood there checking my son into his appointment, I get an overwhelming amount of paperwork. As one of them explained each paper. I asked could I have come in earlier before appointment to fill these out? Because now I have to hold my son in one arm and manage to fill out a load of paperwork.

She got mad and piled it all on the clipboard and shoved it in my face. I voiced walking a way how unbelievable. I've been coming here for years with my older son and I've never experienced disrespect here. A few minutes later a dental hygienist appeared. I informed her of what I just experienced and she blew off my concerns. I asked the dental hygienist if the receptionist just gets a way with how she treats people at the front desk? She talked over me never validating my concerns.

I was still upset going back to the room. After my son's appointment, I even told the dentist what happened earlier. She also blew off my concerns. Unfortunately my older son and I have a dental appointments this week. After our appointments I don't know if we will return for future appointments. Very disappointed!! Very disrespectful staff!!

I have been going to Apollo Dental for many years because I really like my dentist and the different hygienists that I have had, however the desk staff are horrific! Last summer I had an appointment at the end of the day and the hygienist was running late (I was on time). I could tell that something was going on, as I could hear the desk staff talking about the need to get out of the office. They were talking to each other and to the hygienist. So the hygienist never did finish cleaning my teeth, never asked about setting up next appointment. I went to the desk to pay and the lady told me that I would need to call with a credit card the next day because they had to leave and sure enough she took off with me standing at the desk. I went to exit out the front door and it was locked.

They locked me in the building as they hurried out the staff exit. So I went looking for my hygienist with assistance to get out of the building and she was gone too. Lights had been shut off and I was stuck in the building. Luckily I found the staff exit that wasn't locked and was able to leave. I called the supervisor the next day and told her what happened and she chalked it up to being short staffed?!?!? No, it's called a lack of common courtesy! But I decided to stay with Apollo because I like my dentist, until today! I was called by the desk staff stating that they need to cancel my appointment that is scheduled for 2 weeks because they are getting new computers and they are cancelling all appointments that week. The earliest they could get me in would be in the fall (4 months later) even though I have been dealing with a toothache.

I told her that wasn't acceptable and she was so rude. But the rudeness is no surprise. Instead of computer training they really need kindness training. I called Crystal Dental where my husband goes and got in next week. Adios Apollo!
