Moved to the area and needed a new dentist, so we went here because we loved that Dr. Baer was a support of the military, the facility seemed clean, and the staff were friendly. When we went for our appt, there was a dog free roaming that felt a bit unhygienic - we are BIG dog people, so generally I wouldn't mind, but I don't believe animals should be allowed in the treatment rooms/area. . . especially when I have to have my mouth open for that length of time. My husband and I had routine cleanings, and both agreed that the cleaning wasn't to the standard that we have grown used to from our former dental office and it also felt very rushed. Between our visits prior to this office for ourselves and children, we also always got a new toothbrush, floss, and travel toothpaste.

This was not the case. We left empty handed, which is not a problem but we have grown accustomed to it. Fast forward a couple of months, we sold our home and moved out of the area. As dentist offices generally do, we had booked our 6 month follow ups at the time of our first/last appt. Since we moved, I called to cancel well in advance multiple times, left multiple messages, and never received a call back. Then I get a no show fee in the mail. . .

I call again and again, no answer, and left voicemails. Then get a no show late fee in the mail, again no answer on the phone, and left voicemails. I wouldn't be writing this now if I weren't so frustrated with the communication, or lack thereof. Maybe this will prompt a call back to get this bill sorted out. I even emailed twice at this point with also no response. They seemed so eager, friendly, and quick to take us as new patients (we have commercial insurance), but then now seem to have dropped the ball since we had left the area and ultimately dropped them as our dentist. I'd be happy to revise this review once I get some resolution.

I made an appointment from my last 6 month appointment. They called me while work to confirm the appointment but I wasn’t able to call back because they were closed by the time I would have been able to. I figured nothing of it as I’ve always just gone and been given my appointment slot because that’s why you make appointments. When I showed up I was told my appointment slot was given away due to not confirming the appointment.

I’ve never had this happen and that is the reason you make an appointment. They then told me to wait, which I waited an hour until 4:30p and asked when my time would be to go in. The lady tells me she’s cleaning up now, I waited another 15 minutes and then just left because they close at 5p and it’s already 4:30p. I’m not sure why I need to call to confirm an appointment when I confirmed when I made said appointment.

Also, why do I need to call when we live in a day and age where you send a text confirmation and then it can be seen instead of having to take time off work to make a call and be on hold. I’m waiting to see if they charge me as a no call no show for my insurance even though I was there on time but due to having a life couldn’t wait around for an hour after my appointment was given away.

Easy appointments, easy scheduling, clean office. What more could you want from a dentist? Dr. Baer and her staff are all-around great. Jenifer the hygienist is wonderful with kids. Edit: as of April ‘25 they have a new? receptionist who doesn’t answer the phone or pay attention when people walk in - she possibly needs retraining
