The dentist was extremely rude. Does not know how to speak to the patients. Bad attitude. Threatened to kick patient out just because the patient was five minutes late. Definitely do not recommend.

I have been going to Dr. Shroff for over 10 years and having nothing but good things to say. Staff is very professional and accommodating. Never have to wait more than 5 mins because they are strict with timings which is a good thing. Highly recommended.

Dr. Pratix K. Shroff, DDS is the best Dentist in New York. Very professional! This is the first Doctor's office ever to be so timely all the time. If you have a scheduled appointment at 9:00 o'clock at exactly by 9:01 you are sitting in the chair. My husband and I love Dr. Shroff!

Due to his staff's error and inability to provide my insurance company with proper billing records in a timely fashion, I was forced to pay over $200 out of pocket for a procedure that should have been covered. I overlooked this as I was told the girl was no longer with them and that Dr. Shroff was losing a greater amount due to the error and my procedure so I sucked it up. Many of those that I referred had complications after his rushed and sub par work and shared with me that the dentists they had gone to afterwards were super surprised with the work and how the fills had to much of a hang. Even more the waits are absolutely atrocious. However, I was trying to be a dedicated patient and give him the benefit of the doubt, He was also only a few mins away from my home. Recently I came to find out that I needed a root canal in one of my molars and only an endodontist would be able to complete the procedure. Listening to Dr. Shroff, I found a suitable endodontist who happened to be my best friends cousin. He completed the root canal and placed a temporary fill-in until my next scheduled appointment to complete the post and crown. He was going to give me a great rate if started and completed the entire process for the tooth with him which I decided to do. Dr. Shroff was still my dentist and I planned to continue having him as such. Unfortunately my temporary fill had come out but I was scheduled for a cleaning at Dr. Shroffs office.

When I went the amazing hygenist at Dr. Shroffs office was able to do my cleaning and temp filling which took her all but one minute. Dr. Shroff was up next and doing a routine check up of my teeth. At first Dr. Shroff stated "oooo you only needed to get your root canal done there, the rest (post and crown) you do with me" but when I told him I would only get a good deal if I did all three with him even he was impressed with the deal and stated that it was a great deal. Had Dr. Shroff been able to do my root canal I would have more than gladly used my dentists services. Once again today my temporary fill in came out and the office hours of the endodontist was not accommodating to my work schedule, they close at 5 every day. Additionally, I will be going away for work in two days and now I have a gap in my tooth. I called my dentist, Dr. Shroff, whose office is only one minute away from my home and office hours are till late, to see if he would be able to put a temporary fill until my next appointment as it only would take a minute of his time. The receptionist said that they had absolutely no time for me and that it is not his responsibility to place a temp fill for me even if it was an emergency. I am not sure how that is possible, if it is not his responsibility as my dentist, whose responsibility it is? And if the situation was around money I would have gladly paid to ensure my tooth was protected until I returned from my trip. I wouldve gone anytime & paid anything.

I decided to retrieve my records and chose a different dentist so I went in today to do just that. Dr. Shroff did not care to speak with me or address my concern as I could hear him laugh out loud and talk nonsense as he usually does. There was all but one patient waiting outside in the waiting room when I arrived, proving hard for me to believe that he did not have a minute to assist me with my situation. Not only is Dr. Shroff unprofessional in his manner with dealing with his patients, he really does not care. He is constantly pushing for quantity over quality. The irony in all this is the negative comments and scenarios mentioned in other reviews are absolutely true and Ive experienced it firsthand. I thought I had bad teeth genetically so whatever he said I would go with. . . I needed a night guard, got many fill ins in silver & when I wanted them white had to remove & replace which was all$, my flouride treatments went from 15 to 25 instantly, I needed a third cleaning $150 out of pocket yearly. Really disappointed.
