Dr. Kumar and his staff are the best! Extremely professional and go out of their way to make an uncomfortable situation very comfortable! I know people that have had nightmares dealing with implants and my experience was nothing but good!

I rarely ever write a review, so this is real. This is only about Dr. Akshay Kumar, and the girl who cleans my teeth Diane. I have never seen anyone else in this office. I was in my late 50s when I so luckily was referred to Dr. Kumar. Finally you find someone who knows what they are doing. He has done a number of procedures for me, and I have never tried to save money on my mouth before either. You just can't find guys like him. He just knows. He sees when others guess and just don't know. I've had dental implants installed by good people as well, oral surgeon's even, but some went bad over time. He knows why when other's do not. He says, Ah this implant type has screws to the very end, so when gum erodes even a tiny bit, bacteria gets in and can infect. I won't use these and those other ones, etc. He has real extensive experience.
He knows how to clean stuff out as well. He knows how to lift your gum up. He also will admit when old junk is just too far gone, 20 years old, and says look Steve, the best option here is to redo. After your first procedure, you will actually relax and feel a full confidence in him, which is simply so rare nowadays. He fixed up a number of my issues, finally got rid of my reoccurring infections, gave me a few new implants in different locations, and raised my gum in one place. All is better than ever. Let's move on to Diane, his hygienist that he assigned to me. You get through the first cleaning and think, sorry but WTF has happened all of my life. This is my first real cleaning. No dental office will clean like her. She actually takes the time to show you what the different nozzles in a water pic are for. No one ever said what the rubber tip one was for and exactly how to use it. Full instructions and hey, a little scolding too, but all good as I admit maybe needed. Hey Steve, look you need to pay attention to these 2 spots! Do you want more surgery? Uh no, ok. It all leads me to believe that Dentists are simply undertrained for all they try to do. Their cleanings under insurance are a waste of time, and worse, lead to cavities.
Even the crowns I used to get that never clicked right. Now I go to a Prosthodontist, Dr. Mauricio Lavie, who does my crowns and dental work, and allows me to just go to Diane for cleanings. For Dr. Lavie, crowns are done that all actually click. Every tooth you have will click, top to bottom. I advise this combination for actual real solid dental care. If you are trying to save a few dollars on dental care, I can't tell you how wrong you are. The most expensive things in my life have been done on discount, and have to be someday redone. Paying for high quality care is long run Cheap! I've been to many dental professionals in my life, and I've never had anyone as solid as Akshay. Period. End of story. He is stuck with me for life.

If you are looking for Periodontic care provided by highly skilled professionals with excellent customer service, this is a place for you. I have been a patient for over 20 years and always have a great experience. Dr. Kumar and his stuff are fantastic. Diane, my hygienist, is great, very thorough and attentive. She makes sure I keep up with my general dental care. Highly recommend
